Reporting in from Bangladesh

Room 11 were beginning to wonder what had happened since Mr Lees and Goldie had arrived in Bangladesh. Today we finally had some communication. Mr Lees explained that Bangladesh is a very hard place to get organised.

The bus ride to practice takes an hour and a half for the White Ferns. The temperature is 38 degrees so it's very hot to be running around chasing a ball and keeping fit.

Goldie sits up the front of the team bus on his way to practice.

In the hotel where Goldie is staying Mr Lees has been eating vegetable curries. They have to make sure they don't drink water from the tap because it is polluted. They also cannot eat meat like chicken because it can carry bad germs that would make them sick. Bangladesh is a very poor country. The government doesn't have enough money to keep the people well fed and healthy.

A lot of people wonder why they go there to play cricket but the sport helps the people feel happy and they love watching the game.

Here's the view from Mr Lees and Goldie's room.
