A trip to pick cherries with Oscar

Goldie pick's cherries

Goldie likes dark red cherries.
They are juicy. He picked a bucket of cherries.
After that we went home and played hide and go seek.
We played minecraft then we went outside on to the trampoline
then we went to bed. In the morning we had weetbix for breakfast.
I was taking a photo of Goldie with his friends.

Connor's New Friend

9.2.15

I was lucky Mrs Lees said I could take Goldie home for a sleepover.
He played with End and Creeps and Funny Bunny they sat next to my black box filled with all my knight stuff. They are very clever they played Minecraft on their Xbox. I don't have an Xbox I only have a PS3.
I showed Goldie all around my house the best part was my bedroom. Goldie got to sleep in my room all night.
I had to tell Goldie to be careful of my dog Deuce because he gave Funny bunny a scar when he chewed him. The safest place was in my room.
Goldie had cereal for breakfast then Goldie  got into my Dr. Who school bag because that's how he traveled to  school.

Meet Goldie Bear

Goldie Bear is our class mascot. He lives in the library corner but he is often seen out and about with R11 children around the school. He enjoys going home on adventures which are written up in this blog. The first two children to take Goldie home were Connor and Oscar. We look forward to reading about this and looking at the photos they share.

Look OUT !

Watch out for the new Goldie blog for Term 2... Goldie meets Room 11 Watch out for the first adventure, Goldie spends the holidays with Daisy-Leine! Cornflakes for breakfast, yum...

Goldie getting ready to go back to school

Goldie was ready to go, sitting in Mrs Lees lounge on the chair.
He tried to share a tennis ball with Milly, but Milly wasn't happy.
Milly couldn't figure out what this strange creature was and what was he doing being allowed to sit on a lounge chair!
After lots of barking, Goldie felt like it was time to go back to school. He hoped that when he got there he would have some new adventures waiting for him !

Goldie Recovers from his long trip

Mr Lees and Goldie are safely home ... here are some photos that Goldie would like to share on the blog, some of his holiday favourites. Goldie resting up in his hotel room after a very long flight to Bangladesh.
Talking to Mrs Lees on the phone to make sure that everything back at home is going OK !
Relaxing by the pool after a very long day at the cricket
Luckily there was a life saving wheel nearby because I actually can't swim. I don't like getting wet!
I spent a lot of time at airports... and riding around on suitcases being checked at airports!
Time to go shopping for Mrs Lees, here's Goldie taking money out for a shopping trip
Mmmm.... some jewels for Mrs Lees. I wonder if this is the present I should buy?

Email update on our travelling bear

Jade to Mr Lees Hi how's it going.? I hope Goldie is having lots of fun. Has Goldie played a game of Cricket yet?. I hear that you have won three times in a row, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Today someone is coming in to our class room and will be asking questions about Goldie at cricket with you. The person will also be taking photos of some of us to put in the Newspaper. We've been laughing at some of the photos that you have put on the blog. I put a question on the wall and was wondering if you could mention this to the White Ferns Will the White Ferns remember Goldie forever? From:Jade
Mr Lees reply Jade and all room 11 Yes Goldie is having a wonderful holiday and is being very spoilt by all the girls in the White Ferns especially Katie Martin who is Goldies best friend. The other day we took Goldie to a tea plantation where they grow tea on small trees for the cup of tea your mum and dad might have at home. There were 4000 ladies who worked 10 hours a day picking tea leaves off the small trees and they only get paid $30 every 2 weeks. We didn't like the way the ladies seemed to do all the hard work and all our girls agreed it would never happen in New Zealand. Goldie has seen so many things he didn't like but we explain to him that our own country is such a good place compared to all the poor people and the starving children in Bangladesh. He has found the very hot weather a bit tiring at times and we have had to give him a swim in the pool at the hotel. He is a good swimmer now!!! He also had his photo in the local newspaper when he was out with the girls at a market one day and he bought a new scarf for Mrs Lees to wear to school in the winter. Although it has been a wonderful holiday for Goldie he said he misses Room 11 and is keen to get back to see everyone and tell you all about the Cricket and the country of Bangladesh. See you all in about 10 days. I can't wait to be back in Central Otago. My favourite place Warren Lees
